Auction Express Co., Ltd. was established.Toyota Tsusho (Thailand) / Toyota Tsusho Thai Holdings are presently engaged in joint ventures with more than 80 other companies.Formerly Toyoda (Thailand) Co., Ltd., the company was originally founded with the purpose of importing consumer goods, industrial machinery, and tires from Japan. The company’s first head office was located on the corner of Patpong and Silom Roads, at the Centre of Bangkok’s newly emerging international business community. The staff initially comprised 27 corporate employees, with work divided among four sections, namely Toyota Forklift, Sanyo, Suzuki, and General Merchandise.Corporate sales reached 80 million baht. To accommodate further expansion, the company began to establish new firms based on its sections. The first to be set up independently was Sanyo Electrical Appliance.
