Established on January 5, 1957, Toyota Tsusho (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

Toyoda (Thailand) Co., Ltd. named of company at that time, the original purpose of the company was importing consumer goods, industrial machinery and tires from Japan. The company’s first head office was located on the corner of Patpong and Silom Roads, at the centre of Bangkok’s newly emerging international business community. Corporate employees initially numbered 27 persons, with work divided among four sections, namely Toyota Forklift, Sanyo, Suzuki and General Merchandise.

In 1969, corporate sales had reached 80 Million Baht. To accommodate further expansion, the company began to establish new firms based on former corporate sections. The first to be set up independently was Sanyo electrical appliance. Although this change had an impact on the company, it is soon regained its strength and was able to reach its target of 480 Million Baht after only 8 more years.

 

The company’s second building on Asoke-Dindaeng Road (1980-2008)

 

A further demonstration of the President’s long-range vision was evident in the company’s strategy of building both internal unity and external alliances. Two of these early partnerships were with Toyota Motor Thailand and Nippon Denso (Thailand) and were followed by many other joint ventures.

In 1980, the year in which the company’s present head office on Asoke-Dindaeng Road was built, corporate staff amounted to 115 persons and total sales reached 680 Million Baht.

In 1983, the company’s Suzuki section was spun off to form a separate firm in which the company still held shares.

On July 30, 1987, Toyoda (Thailand) Co., Ltd. changed its name one more time to Toyota Tsusho (Thailand) Co., Ltd. which accorded with the Japanese parent company’s desire to have a single corporate identity throughout the world. This change also marked a period of transformation by which the Thai company progressed towards and international presence

In 2000, Merger with Kasho International (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

In 2002, Established TT Techno - Park Co., Ltd. (TTTP) and TTK Logistics (Thailand ) Co., Ltd. (TTKL)

In 2003, Established TT Fuji Tool Support Co., Ltd. (TTFTS), Established Amata Nakhon Branch

In 2004, Established Toyota Libra Co., Ltd. (LIBRA ) and TT Assembly (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TTAT)

In 2005, Established Processing Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (THAPT), TT Insurance Broker (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TTIB) and Green Metals (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (GMTH)

In 2006, Merger with Tomen (Thailand) Ltd. and Tomen Enterprise (Bangkok) Ltd.

In 2007, Established Toyota Tsusho Energy (Thailand) Ltd. (TT Energy)

In 2008, Company's new building was built with 827 employees and established Toyota Tsusho Forklift (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TTFL)

In 2009, Established TT Assembly East Co., Ltd. (TTAE)

In 2010, Established TT Marunouchi (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TTMT)

In 2012, Established TT Medical & Welfare Management (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TTMWM) and Senko Logistics (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (SLT)

In 2013, Established TTK Asia Transport (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TTKA) and Toyotsu Chemiplas Thailand Co., Ltd. (TCPT)

In 2014, Established Toyota Tsusho Logistics Service (Thailand) Co., Ltd.(TTLS) and Toyota Tsusho M&E (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TTMET)

In 2015, Established TTTC Eastern Seaboard Branch at Chonburi Province

In 2016, Established TT Prosteel (Thailand) Co., Ltd.

In 2017, TTTC's 60th Anniversary Celebration on January 5, 2017

In 2019, Established Toyota Tsusho Thai Holdings Co., Ltd. on July 1, 2019

In 2020, Toyota Tsusho (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is become a foreign company owned by Toyota Tsusho Corporation on February 3, 2020

Today, after 60 years of growth, Toyota Tsusho (Thailand) Co., Ltd. is a leader in import-export, brokerage, services, trading and retailing both in Thailand and abroad. Our reputation goes beyond co-operation in the private sector to include the status we have earned from the Revenue Department as an Outstanding Registered Value-Added Tax Payer as well.

Toyota Tsusho (Thailand) is presently engaged in joint ventures more than 80 companies. Its mother company, Toyota Tsusho Corporation, has affiliates in over 90 countries worldwide.
