Corona is a crown shaped virus. It was first discovered in the mid-1960s, with 4 major variants of the corona virus. Coronaviruses are a large family of viruses that can cause respiratory disease in humans. Human coronaviruses generally cause mild illness such as the common cold. Some strains can cause pneumonia, such as severe acute respiratory syndrome. The most epidemic is SARS-CoV first found in China in the year 2002-2003, which has spread around the world and has a high mortality rate and Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (MERS) in Saudi-Arabia which has been reported since September 2012.

The CoViD-19 is a new strain of coronavirus that has not been previously identified in humans. It was first detected in Wuhan City, Hubei Province, China at the end of 2019. The areas that are found the most patients and expected to be the source of the disease are seafood market and rare animals in the city which has spread in many cities in China and many countries such as Thailand, South Korea, Japan, United States etc.

Especially in Thailand, the first patient found was a 61-year-old Chinese female traveler from Wuhan with fever, chills, headache and sore throat three days before traveling to Thailand. How to observe the symptoms.

If exposed to COVID-19, patients will begin to show symptoms within 1 day to 2 weeks after being infected. Basic prevention methods

  • Avoid traveling to high-risk areas, especially in pandemic or congested areas.

  • Should wash your hands regularly with soap or alcohol gel for at least 20 secondsDo not touch your eyes, nose, or mouth unnecessarily while you have not washed your hands.
  • Avoid approaching patients with coughing, sneezing, runny nose, breathless, sore throat.
  • Avoid close contact with animals without protection.
  • Eat freshly cooked and clean food. Use a middle spoon. Do not eat food made from rare animals.
  • Wear the mask correctly (For medical personnel or those who need to take care of patients infected with the virus directly, should wear a mask or wear safety glasses to prevent infection in the droplets from mucus or secretions entering the eye)
