TTTC & GMT: Driving CE & CN for a Sustainable Automotive Future

On 21 August 2026, Toyota Tsusho (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (TTTC) and Green Metals (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (GMT) welcomed executives and representatives from government agencies, the private sector, and academic and research organizations for a site visit to learn about end-of-life vehicle and automotive battery management. 

The visit was organized as part of the Industrial Strategy Project for Sustainable Management of End-of-Life EV Batteries, coordinated by the Thailand Automotive Institute. The delegation was led by Mr. Supakit Boonsiri (Director-General of the Office of Industrial Economics) and Mr. Dusit Anantarak (Deputy Director-General of the Department of Industrial Promotion), together with representatives from key related organizations.  

The delegation was welcomed by TTTC, led by Mr. Sujit Panvongpaiboon (Executive Vice President) and 
Mr. Tassanai Pipatworachai (General Manager of Resource Recycling Department), together with GMT, led by 
Mr. Kenichi Iijima (President). 

The visit also highlighted the collaboration between Toyota Tsusho and Toyota Motor Thailand (TMT) in advancing Circular Economy initiatives. TMT coordinated with the Thailand Automotive Institute to arrange the site visit and provided two vehicles for a practical demonstration of the end-of-life vehicle dismantling process. 

During the visit, GMT shared its approach to managing end-of-life vehicles and HEV batteries, including a demonstration of its actual dismantling and recycling operations. The session provided an opportunity to exchange knowledge on technologies, infrastructure, business models, and key approaches needed to develop a sustainable end-of-life vehicle and battery management system in Thailand. 

The visit demonstrated Toyota Tsusho Thailand Group’s business capabilities in Circular Economy (CE) through GMT’s expertise and practical experience in resource management, together with collaboration across the Toyota Group and relevant stakeholders to promote efficient resource circulation and contribute to the transition toward Carbon Neutrality (CN).
